Just wondering about how effective a muscle building course would be for women. I do want to get stronger but don’t want to look like a muscle woman, if you know what I mean. I was in a car accident and hospitalized for about a month. I am thinking this method could be good for rebuilding strength in my body but am worried about bulking up too large and weight gain. The misconception of bulking up by using weights for women has prevented many women from getting the benefits of weight training. There is a science to building muscle and just because you are using weights does not mean a woman will get bulky.
Women lack the testosterone men have. Therefore, they can rarely achieve similar results in terms of muscle growth. Even if you do heavy weights you are most likely not going to get bulky. I myself like to lift weights (squats about 170lbs, deadlift 195lbs, bench press 115lbs), but I weight about 115lbs. I used to be scared of buffing up to, but all I became was stronger and more cut
Good well written article, Muscle building is a constant process. I hate people who go to the gym 3 or 4 days a week then don’t follow through with their diet. Also they don’t use progressive resistance which is the most important part of progressing with weight lifting.

Does anyone ever try Time Under Tension, its something I teach to all my P.T clients about controlling the tempo rather than just cranking out rep and rep and set after set as fast as you can. It basically cuts the gym time down and is much more effective
